What We Do

International Cooperation, Development, and Training Programs

Each cooperation program is typically preceded by a site visit to contextualize the training proposal based on the needs of the client. This is followed by the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding detailing the contents of the work plan, structured in subsequent phases, and the individuals involved. Each program is subject to periodic monitoring to verify its progress based on objective indicators, in order to implement improvement actions where necessary.

The training offer may include:

Missions

At the client's headquarters: always entrusted to senior tutors, experts in the topics covered by the training program, and typically lasting between one and three weeks.

Their purpose is to support local staff in applying what has been presented during the training, in implementing techniques, procedures, and in the concrete realization of the improvement plan outlined in the work plan.

Webinar

Each lasting at least two hours, with interactive frontal lessons on selected topics agreed upon with the client.

Slides, protocols, and other presented documentation made available; translation provided upon request.

Internships

From hospital staff involved at Gaslini: of variable duration, typically ranging from 2 weeks to 3 months depending on the signed agreement.

Each working day includes a morning briefing with the assigned tutor for the trainee personnel, participation in ward and outpatient activities, diagnostics, or operating room activities when relevant, participation in seminars and workshops, and Morbidity & Mortality meetings. Whenever possible, involvement in clinical research projects is included in longer training courses.

Patient Care

Management of complex patients referred from other hospitals, from any country.

Telemedicine Sessions and Second Opinion Consultations

Each lasting at least 60 minutes on relevant clinical cases.

Presentation and discussion with specialists experienced in the specific topic; second opinion and image consultation; final discussion and conclusions.
